Yamin Moshe House, Jerusalem
Renovation + Landscape Design
2005

The renovation gives respect to the original architecture as well as to the historic landmark-status neighborhood, This called not only for exterior work on the garden and roof terrace, but for a complete transformation of the interior from a cold, strictly architectural space into a warm, highly-decorated, Middle Eastern environment, taking the dramatic vaulted ceilings and arched windows as its reference point.
This home succeeds in creating a warm and romantic atmosphere, whether it's dinner for two in the dining room, drinks for fifteen on the roof terrace overlooking the walls of Jerusalem's Old City, or family and friends celebrating under the tented pergola on a warm afternoon. It has been used for hosting everyone from local friends, visitors from abroad, to well-known Israeli politicians. In 2006 this home was featured in a tour of Jerusalem's most distinguished homes.
